Special Olympics Wales
Special Olympics is for athletes with a learning disability, one of the main criteria is that the IQ must be below 70%
WISP JUDO is a registered club with SO Wales and SOGB and pays an annual membership fee to both organisations.
We hope to register more athletes in our group. SO IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED AND HAVE A LEARNING DISABILITY, please contact us for a membership form.
This will then as a member entitle you to participate in the SO Programme, which includes Regional/National/European and World Games.

All athletes/volunteers/Participants, must be registered, so if you would like to become involved now or in the future, please ask us for a application form.
Two of our judo players: Sarah Gratton and Richard Evans have been chosen to represent Great Britain at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai China in October 2007.
There is a judo session in Cardiff every Friday night from 5-45pm to 7-15pm.
Come along and meet new friends and work towards your Black Belt.
We also hold training sessions on the first Sunday of every month at the Howardian Centre from 11-00am to 2-00pm.
At present the WISP Special Olympics Judo Group, is the only registered judo group in Wales with the Special Olympics Movement.
We will be holding a COME AND TRY IT DAY for SO Judo Wales on Sunday 1st April 2007.
